Position Details:
- Job Title: Van Driver
- Location: Derby (with extensive travel)
- Salary: £23,810 per annum
- Contract Type: Permanent
- Working Hours: Includes weekends and bank holidays
Your Responsibilities:
- Collect and deliver donated stock across stores and donation points
- Provide cover and support for the wider area team and stores
- Attend training, team meetings, and events, including occasional long-distance and overnight stays
- Provide emergency out-of-hours call cover when required
- Regularly lift and move items of varying sizes and weights
- Promote Mencap’s values and mission through excellent service and teamwork
What You Bring:
- A flexible and proactive approach to working patterns and duties
- A valid UK driving licence
- Comfortable with frequent lifting and manual handling
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Willingness to travel and support a wide range of locations and teams
- Successful completion of a Basic DBS check
