Primary Role Overview:
As a Sr. Electrical Technician, you will be assigned to either Field Operations or Campaign Maintenance:
- Field Operations: Support production reliability, troubleshoot electrical equipment failures, and perform basic care activities.
- Campaign Maintenance: Execute routine preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical systems under the guidance of the Campaign Supervisor to ensure safe, efficient, and timely operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, repair, and overhaul electrical systems and equipment including:
- Transformers, switchgears, and motors
- MCCs, generators, relays, batteries, chargers, and lighting systems
- Inverters and variable speed drives
- Calibrate protection relays and ensure compliance with electrical safety standards
- Read and interpret electrical power, single-line, and control schematic drawings
- Support safety-first practices in all tasks and adhere to QatarEnergy’s operational protocols
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Secondary school education plus a 3-year full-time Electrical Diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in electrical maintenance within the oil & gas or petrochemical industry
- Knowledge of Electrical Safety Rules and LV authorized operations
- Proficiency in MS Office and SAP CMMS systems
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in high-demand environments
