Position: Sr. Safety Technician
Location: Dukhān, Qatar
Employment Type: Full-time
Primary Purpose of the Job:
The Sr. Safety Technician will play a key role in implementing QatarEnergy’s safety management program. You will be responsible for monitoring operational areas, ensuring strict adherence to HSE policies, procedures, and regulations, and supporting safe work practices among both staff and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all work activities follow QatarEnergy’s Safety Policy and standards
- Monitor site activities and enforce safe work procedures
- Support the execution of safety plans and programs
- Promote a safety-first culture across teams and departments
- Ensure compliance with national legislation and international best practices
- Provide clear communication regarding safety expectations and incident reporting
Required Qualifications:
- Completed Secondary School Education (12 years)
- 2 years of technical training in a relevant discipline
- Completion of recognized Safety Management System courses
- Minimum Level-5 English proficiency, with strong oral and written communication skills
Experience:
- At least 8 years of experience in safety and fire-related roles
- Minimum of 5 years in the oil and gas industry
